I’ve pondered on many things these last few years. I have had more time being unemployed than I have been inside an office, glued to my desk to finish all designated work. The details of why this happened has been thrown out of the window in an imaginary piece of paper plane, hit by a bus, crushed by wheels, rained on, melted, and went swimmingly down the drains of the streets of nowhere. (Please read this as fast as you can.)
There is no "Doc" Brown that would suddenly appear with his wildly fluffed silver hair. Any reference to a high tech automobile that can travel through time and space would just be of vindictive sense.
My face:
So what happens when you have spent all your savings and have just enough to start a new, not enough energy to do so, nothing to spare for extracurricular you-know-whats?
Find something to do that entails spending absolutely no money at all.
Find something to do that entails spending absolutely no money at all.
1. Go online.
If you haven’t paid your bills, go to a place with free WIFI.
There would be tons to do online. Social networks, short nonsensical clips that would make the corner of your mouth go up a centimeter or two, a free one month subscription to iflix, or whatever flix with free series and movies to stream. Another free month if you create another account and so forth (you know where this is going.)
2. Find out what it is that you can do to make yourself “happy.”
A hobby perhaps? If it costs something, get a new one. Writing, reading, drawing, dancing, singing, blogging, playing, are just about all free.
3. Stare at your surroundings and see if there’s anything you can change.
Anything you can change without spending anything. Oh, does that refrigerator look better on the other side? Does that dog need a bath? Look at the floors all rough, let’s make it shiny.
Walking around and people watching could be fun. Imagine a fantasy world in the real world but let it stay in your mind. These invisible wings won’t save me from falling down this one step tower called sidewalk. Oh wait, of course it will.
You can even go to a mall and just walk around. Go to the shops you rarely or never enter and just browse around. If any sales person comes to you, ask to be brought something that’s not there and when they leave, be a super agent and slyly walk away.
5. Build a routine or get a job.
For as much as you can, try not to procrastinate because it will lead you nowhere but down. Try an every other day routine to start, or make things easier for yourself and get a job.
